Hi.. every person! I got a request to make a thread on how you can run CM13 on the Nexus 5X with force encrypt disabled. You can still encrypt should you decide upon. This rather hurries up boot time, however there’s no different actual world speed difference.
- Unlocked bootloader
- Custom recovery
- CM13 Zip and Gapps
- Computer with a terminal
- Modified boot.img provided

Step to Step Guide:
Make Sure you’ve working ADB to your computer. Plug your cellphone via of USB cable.
Open terminal. type ADB Devices. Make sure your device show up within the list as a sting of numbers
After you insure that ADB is working, transfer the CM13 zip and the gapps zip into inside storage
set up the CM13 zip and gapps through TWRP but don’t start the method (hit the reboot approach button)
Hit the reboot to bootloader button in TWRP
Open terminal for your computer
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot <the image that I provided>
fastboot format userdata
You’re all done! Good luck! I am not yet sure if you can update OTA. Let me know.
